SO on my way to work i see Longhorns. like real one. did you know they are almost even the same color as the texas orange. haha i was loving that.
anyways, my host parents, Heinz and Anke and its been great! My "mom" cooks, cleans, and even does my laundry. its the life. haha I am now sitting outside with the wireless on a wonderful patio enjoy the very warm weather. We just ate a great dinner and yes. THIS is the life.
work is going great. i cant believe its already been a week. on fridays the germans only work until about 2ish. Sweet! then i am going to Luneburg and to visit my flatmates from the last time i was in Germany! I am so excited to see them! it will be so fun! I will update with pictures and such.

work week.
hey
wow. first days of work. think about the first time you started your job. got it? good. now think back to all the questions, explanations, introductions and yadda yadda. now think of them in a different language.
thats how my first day went. everything was so fast. BUT to my surprise, i understood more than i thought. the trouble was, some vocabulary you dont learn in school. its so specific to the trade that it would be silly to learn those words. like for example, Invoice. Purchase order. um.. hello. you dont learn these words in another language so soon.
but today was good, i was again in the secretary part helping her then i had to translate their english papers into german, more vocabulary practice. it was good for me to brush up again.
next i went to the sales dept, which is like one room with two guys and an assistant. it was good i got another over view of the company and we discussed some differences between american businesses and germany/europe businesses. it was very interesting. i made some more labels and wrote more emails in GERMAN! ah! fun!
on sunday i went to church. i googled "churches in delmenhorst" and yah, thats what i came up with... haha i emailed the youth lady and she offered to pick me up. it was fun, ALL german of course. and i met some more young people. they seemed nice. maybe i will go back.
this weekend i hope to go to Lueneburg and visit my flatmates and friends there. i am excited. But i am also excited for my return because i will then get to move in! finally! :)
my host parents come home tomrorow. i am excited to see how things might change around here. its like being "home alone" now... the house is a mess and we go out to eat every night... haha

i am here...
wilkommen aus deutschland!
sooo my flights first.
my one from cleve to Minneapolis was 45 minutes late. we circled the city twice. i looked at the guy next to me's watch and my plane had been boarding for 20 minutes already... so i get landed i sprint from one head to the next. i can hear over the loudspeaking last call. final call. one last call. they had an express train to get to the other side but it was broken so i had to run. and of course i had to pee so i couldnt run that fast. it was like literally the last gate. i was like of course. but the lady was laughing at me, she was like yay you made it. haha so i walk into the plane, looking like i just ran a marathon. so sweaty and out a breathe. did not know i had to be in shape to fly these days. oh did i mention i didnt pack deodorant? haha so needless to say it was a long flight. haha i ate and then took a Tylenol PM and crashed. haha i slept in so many crazy positions. oh well the guy next to me never went to the bathroom. i went a bunch of times just to get up. plus he was funny, he spoke like no english and he couldnt ever choose a movie. after five minutes of starting the movie he would switch. hah. anyways, we landed around noon. but then i had a five hour layover. there was a huge line for the customs but it was like a breeze. they just stamped and then you are on your way. i had some lunch and then sat and read for a long time.
and of course my flight was late. but this one was like soo tiny, it even had propellers. haha it was such a short flight too. but yeah then i got picked up and then headed to the house.
my room right now is fine, i will move in two weeks into a different room. they are just having guests that will live there next weekend. the room area where i will live has like a sitting room, then a bed room area then like a small porch area. plus then i have my own bathroom on the first floor. so yeah it will be nice. for now i will just live out of my suitcase until i can really unpack.
today we woke up really late. and then we went to downtown and i bought shampoo, conditioner, deoderant and some other stuff that i needed. so i should be good to go. i should shower soon. tonite we made mexican lasagna and salad, it was really good. now we are hanging out. i might go take a walk then a shower then we are just hanging out watching movies or playing cards. tomorrow we are going to visit the company and maybe figure out my bike stuff...? we will see...

ah. 4ish days.
so i leave on monday for another trip back to germany.
i couldnt get enough of it the first time. i will blog later with more details about my journey over there when i know. its weird because i dont know many details yet.
just got back from school. packed up and glad to be out of there. i love school, but my living conditions were getting unbearable. i was so done and ready. i got a 3.4 this semester, and i am pretty excited about that. whoop!

OHHH VEGAS what a blast! it was so much fun! there was so much eating and having a good time it was wonderful to be stress free for a while. what a great trip!

bad blogger...
so i have been really bad a blogging. i mean i keep up for the most part with everyone in my blogging community but lately i havent had the chance to sit down and really write.
i get to start a new journal. yay. i am excited. but one thing i hate is picking out a new one. dang. i can never decide. i only write on one side of my journal. i never want the pages to smudge.
i think my roommate cleaned my desk. or did something with it. thats all i am going to say about that.
i should probably start brushing up on my german, i do go really soon. which is funny because i have 1- yet to buy a ticket 2- know what/when i am coming and going 3- where i will be living 4- figure out my financial aid. so there is alot of unknowns. ah god willing it will work out. i just want to know soon! i cant believe that gas prices are reading four dollars, its days like that when i know that i am thankful i dont have a car to take care of. i love my bike and now since the weather is nice i am going to clean it up again, get the rust off from the winter-ness and get it ready to go. except i leave toledo may 4th. so yeah not too much longer. THIS WEEK IS THE LAST WEEK OF CLASS> ahhh... i cant believe it. this is my last spring semester as an undergrad. i never thought of it like that until right now. sppoooky.
i just got back from a great weekend at home. i guess i am really blessed because my siblings like LOVE eachother. like alot. we fight yeah but in the end its all love. and i am so thankfull for it. i got to see all my sibs in action this weekend, i cant believe how old we are all getting. DANG.
my jaw is still in alot of pain, not that you cared. but it still hurts. hopefully i will get that fixed soon. i go to vegas soon and i am excited. i should probably brush up on those skills too... man i guess i have more work than i thought coming up.
i should get started...

wow its been a while
sooo its been a few weeks since i have had a really good blog... i guess its time..
oh yeah these wedding pictures are WAYY over due... I had a blast in atlanta!! would not mind living there. it was so much fun and beautiful!
plus i have a free few minutes to kill before i fall asleep. i havent been feeling well lately, and need some more rest... hopefully my mono isnt kicking back in...
man.ohman.
SO summer plans are still in the works. i should know by this week. my professor who is trying to hook me up with a company in germany is meeting with the managers this week... keep your fingers crossed. i mean i plan on going over anyways for school but yeah i want to stay longer... and i just really want something sweeett on my resume.
below is a dance marathon picture. i just loved it.. i can hardly wait until next year!!
speaking of school. a week and a half plus finals. i cant believe it. seriously. where did this year GO! its flown by! i have three group projects and all my finals. most of my classes i am doing great in, i just have one class that i am like at an 88 and need to do awesome on the final for an A! :) my schedule for next semester is awesome, i lOVE my professors. it should be great... oh yeah by the way i am graduating next semester. crazy i know. i can study abroad, have only one course count, take two additional german courses at ut and still graduate a semester early. WOW! :) so yeah but i am 90% sure i will stay at UT and do my masters... i just need to work on getting an OK score for the GMAT. or at least take it! haha
what else is new...
akpsi had our formal.. it was alot of fun. i wore an old dress of my moms.. everyone loved it...
last week was ed's 21st... we went out two nights to the bar, we saw DL hughly (he was so funny!) and on friday night i threw a surprise party for him! His best friend (the red head) came up from cincy to surprise him. it was so much fun... he had no idea!!!
songfest was this past weekend! it was a blast! we had a 4 minute routine where i choreographed and directed Akpsi's group. we got second place and had so much fun! i cant wait till the video comes out!!! i was inducted into mortar board national honor society, it was cool because they talked about you while you walked on stage...
i found a place to live next year, details are still being worked out.
god has been teaching me patience and compassion lately. i have really had a heart for people who have no idea what it means to truly be in awe of the creator. speaking of creation, there is a really cool museum in cincy that i want to go to all about creation and dinosaurs in the bible and everything. it sounds awesome... ROAD TRIP??
ahhh as things are winding down i cant wait for LAS VEGAS!!! its going to be a blast!!! i should brush up on my poker skills and get a new swim suit and be ready to enjoy the heat!!!! :)
